Ermogene Miraglia
(Napoli, 1907 - 1964)

"Still life of fish, molluscs and crustaceans". Signed, oil painting on canvas

with greasy line and color brilliance. Miraglia was self-taught and was subsequently awarded the title of honorary academic by the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples. He strongly felt the influence of French Impressionism and of the painters Antonio Mancini and Vincenzo Irolli, with whom he shared a taste for the full-bodied and material pictorial mixture. The artist participated with considerable success in various exhibitions in Italy and abroad. Frame in gilded and carved wood, 70 x 100 cm.
