Attributed. "Bacchanalia with satyr, God Pan, vestals and allegories of dancing cherubs" pair of oil paintings on canvas
Carpioni, a pupil of Padovanino, was influenced in Rome by the Bamboccianti and by the Caravaggesque legacies, maturing a painting based on color and drawing. An industrious painter, he became famous for mythological, pastoral and sensual subjects. Red and gold lacquered frames, 52 x 65 cm each.
