Riccardo Pellegrini

(Milano, 1863 - Crescenzago, 1934)

The Milanese master studied in Milan, Rome and Naples, where he was a pupil of Domenico Morelli. He traveled extensively to deepen his artistic knowledge, in England, France and Spain, the latter important source of inspiration for the Spanish rustic subjects of many of his paintings. Landscape designer and genre painter, he also executed numerous paintings representing countries and scenarios of the various places he had visited, abroad and in Italy. In all his works, in addition to a precise and realistic drawing, he uses color in a vibrant and effective way, which makes his works very pleasant. His paintings are kept in the Modern Art Galleries of Genoa and Piacenza. Vintage frame in gilded wood, 30 x 40 cm.
